One of Sherburne's major goals while at LightForm was to develop an event that could both announce the opening of the LightForm Design Centre and contribute to design culture in an innovative way. Building on his academic work in transformative interior design based installations, Sherburne designed a temporary bar environment between the buildings of the Centre entitled LIT. In addition to designing, organizing and constructing LIT, Sherburne also single-handedly put together the party which was ultimately one of the biggest design parties in Alberta's history. Sherburne brought together everything from sponsorship (Heineken, Canella Prosecco, Red Bull, Belvedere Vodka, and others) to the conceptual development of the gold leaf wax sealed invites. This was a monumental undertaking but like Art Bar before it, LIT attracted unprecedented attendance numbers (over 1000) and truly set a precedent for design events in Canada.
