The Existentialist Yawns
This painting draws its inspiration from an essay studying the work of both John Cage and Jackson Pollack. A section of the essay outlines how Pollock would figuratively scream into the existentialist void and John Cage would merely look in and yawn. The difference being outlined is that of the calculated work of the conceptualist artist and the strife riddled work of the modernist school.
