"ACAD Faculty member Jesse Sherburne featured in new publication Lateral Learning is a collaborative, exhibition-in-print project curated by Canadian Artist Paul Butler and published and produced by Vantage Art Projects (Sherri Kajiwara and Jennifer Mawby, and featuring new faculty member Jesse Sherburne as a contributing artist.The project is comprised of a hard-cover
book that opens with a survey of Paul’s current work, and follows with work selected from artists in response to our curatorial theme of community and collaborative methods of learning. Through comparison, contrast and categorization the publication investigates ways in which Paul and the other artists included are producing and/or facilitating work in this ideological vein."

So very exciting news...I was just awarded a large commission from the City of Edmonton!
I will be completing a sculptural/architectural installation for the upcoming ETS Centennial Garage. I have some images of the renderings from my proposal up here...check it out!

This spring I am teaching a portfolio development seminar. This class is a long time coming as there is nothing in the Edmonton community being offered for art and design grads! I am going to talk about all the techniques I have labored to learn and perfect and pass on the best ways to get your work noticed...should be fun.
